The four-piece has been energetically slinging a piano, double bass, guitar and drum kit all around London over the past three years. And with their brand of piano bashing cockney ska, their authentic rock’n’roll sound and eminently catchy feel-good songs, they have already established a large fan-base across the capital and beyond, not to mention the recording of a magnificent debut album entitled “Our Night Out”, released in Autumn 2009. The Album “Our Night Out” will exclusively be available on their tour with their new label mates, the German punkrock institution the BROILERS. If you can’t make it to the tour you need to wait until March 28th of 2011, then “Our Night Out” will hit all stores over Europe, it will be digitally available on December 28th at all download platforms.
BUSTER SHUFFLE’s line-up comprises Jet Baker, on piano and lead vocals, “the best drummer we could find” Terry Mascall, on drums, Tim Connell aka Popeye Doyle, on upright bass and James Stickley on guitar and backing vocals.
Since the release of their debut album “Our Night Out”, which garnered several amazing reviews including 4/5 Stars in Uncut, the boys have left their beloved London to go on the road, initially playing a number of support dates up and down the UK, gradating to individual shows in Europe, culminating in headline slots at festivals in Germany and the Netherlands over the Summer. BUSTER SHUFFLE’s hard-working, never-say-die spirit is perhaps best summed up by their impromptu ten-gigs-in-a-day, unplugged marathon during London’s “Play Me I’m Yours Festival”, charmingly documented in the video “Ten Pianos”. Using a mixture of public transport and foot slogging, the intrepid lads targeted a number of pianos strategically placed by the Mayor at various landmarks across the capital, miraculously evading arrest and much to the delight and amusement of thronging crowds.
