DeAgostini is a world-wide company specializing in the manufacture of metal/diecast models of all sorts. This one is from their WWII war-planes series. A good value-for-money collection which comes in a very nice package. Originally assembled for the Japanese market it has a nice leaflet describing the model inside the box.

Arthur Clowes was born in Derbyshire and joined the RAF in 1929. By the time of the Battle of Britain, he was an experienced pilot who had downed at least eight German aircraft during action over France in 1940. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Medal for his skill and bravery during this period.
