Young naked faun in a reclined pose,
holding what appears to be a heavy bowl of grapes in his hands,
standing on a flat round base,
minimal manufacturing flaws / glaze defects to the shoulders at the back.

This version was limited to 200 pieces and numbered by Rosenthal at the time.
This faun appears to be an early design before the limitation, as it does not bear the usual limitation and numbering.

The elegant porcelain figure "Faun with basket of grapes" by Rosenthal is a true rarity. The almost 40 cm high model S175 was made in Bavaria and depicts a mythical faun with a magnificent basket of grapes on its back.
The white figurine is richly detailed and is a wonderful example of Rosenthal's craftsmanship.

A must-have for lovers of antique Rosenthal porcelain art.
