Bakgrund och Beskrivning:
Denna kopp kombinerar tre olika glasyrtyper och tekniker:

Sang De Boeuf
Vitreous Enamel
Blått och Vitt Porslin

Att kombinera alla tre på samma porslinsstycke är en verklig utmaning på grund av deras olika temperaturkrav i ugnen. Det är en lyxig design som ofta når höga priser på auktioner.
Sang De Boeuf – Temperatur: 1300?
En glansig, rik, blodröd glasyr ofta kantad med strimmor av lila eller turkos används för att dekorera keramik, särskilt porslin. Effekten uppnås genom en metod för bränning som inkluderar koppar, en metod som först upptäcktes av kineserna under Ming-dynastin. Glaserat porslin med Sang De Boeuf värderas högt och säljs ofta på auktioner för extremt höga priser.

Vitreous Enamel – Temperatur: 650-800?
Också känt som porslinsglasyr är det ett material tillverkat genom att smälta pulveriserat glas på en yta genom bränning, vanligtvis mellan 650 och 850 °C. Pulvret smälter, flyter och stelnar sedan till ett slätt, hållbart glasyr.

Blått och Vitt Porslin – Temperatur: 1320?
Det täcker ett brett spektrum av vitt keramik och porslin dekorerat under glasyren med en blå pigment, vanligtvis koboltoxid. Koboltpigmentet är ett av de få som tål de högsta bränningstemperaturerna som krävs, särskilt för porslin, vilket delvis förklarar dess långvariga popularitet.

Form och Utseende:
Formen kallas "Gaiwan" på kinesiska. Det är en kinesisk skål med lock utan handtag, används för att brygga teblad och konsumera te. Uppfunnen under Ming-dynastin består den av en skål, ett lock och en valfri fat. Som visas på bild 9 är locket utformat för att blockera tebladen och filtrera ut teet i en tekopp. Naturligtvis kan du också använda den som en vanlig tekopp.

Background and Description:
This cup incorporates three different glaze types and techniques:

Sang De Boeuf
Vitreous Enamel
Blue and White Porcelain

Combining all three on the same porcelain piece is a real challenge due to their different temperature requirements in the kiln. It is a luxury design, often reaching high prices in auctions.
Sang De Boeuf – Temperature: 1300?
A glossy, rich, blood-red glaze often slashed with streaks of purple or turquoise used to decorate pottery, particularly porcelain. This effect is achieved through firing that incorporates copper, a method first discovered by the Chinese during the Ming dynasty. Glazed porcelains with Sang De Boeuf are highly valued and often sold at auctions for extremely high prices.

Vitreous Enamel – Temperature: 650-800?
Also known as porcelain enamel, it is a material made by fusing powdered glass to a substrate by firing, usually between 650 and 850 °C. The powder melts, flows, and then hardens to a smooth, durable vitreous coating.

Blue and White Porcelain – Temperature: 1320?
It covers a wide range of white pottery and porcelain decorated under the glaze with a blue pigment, generally cobalt oxide. The cobalt pigment is one of the very few that can withstand the highest firing temperatures required, particularly for porcelain.

Shape and Form:
The form is called "Gaiwan" in Chinese. It is a Chinese lidded bowl without a handle, used for the infusion of tea leaves and the consumption of tea. Invented during the Ming dynasty, it consists of a bowl, a lid, and an optional saucer. As shown in picture 9, the lid is designed to block the tea leaves and filter out the tea into a tea cup. Of course, you can also use it as a normal tea cup.
