Roland's PureAcoustic modelling process considers all elements of how a piano note is played, including how the key is pressed, how the hammer would strike the string, how the string resonates in the cabinet, plus many other elements to shape the final sound. These elements continually interact to produce a complex tone with an abundance of overtones, while the resonance alters in response to the number of notes being played. This technology is so accurate, that the FP-90X captures your touch and style as you perform - in real-time. The result of using this technology is an increased level of responsiveness and a rich sound that is not achievable from using piano samples.

Once you've connected your Android or iOS device, the audio is automatically routed through the piano's internal speakers or headphones. Now with Bluetooth MIDI, you can connect to fantastic music composition apps such as Roland’s Zenbeats or Apple’s GarageBand. And thanks to USB audio/MIDI connectivity, you can use the FP-90X as an interface with computers and record tracks in professional music production software.

Power in every note

Just because it's portable doesn't mean it can't be powerful. The Roland FP-90X features a high-fidelity sound system which projects your music in every direction. There really aren't many portable pianos that sound this good. On top of the FP-90X piano, you'll find a pair of powerful woofers and twin dome tweeters working with special vents. This array produces a deep and immersive sound that full envelops the playing position. Infact, the speakers are so powerful that they can be used for intimate live performances.
