The gloriously misspelled Wikkyd Vikker become another of thelost New Wave of British Heavy Metal era bands to have variousdemos etc. from back then re-discovered and finally brought out onalbums for the masses. Formed in 1981 the band relased a demo, andthe rare single Black Of The Night, released without picturesleeve, as well as getting a track onto the Ebony compilation albumMetallic Storm in 1982. Their single is an instant NWOBHM classicwith excellent riff an great vocals. Now when we get to hear morefrom the band, with this release, then we find out that the bandalso shows that they were influenced by progg, Thin Lizzy and Rush.The booklet also brings out some fun anecdotes about life on theroad and home made stageprops and pyrotechnics. Overall a greatcompilation album for fans of the English way of making metal. MarkEvens later joined Valhalla.
