The two tracks on this shaped picture disc is taken from KingDiamonds 2002 album Abigail II The Revenge. This was a risky movefrom the Dane. Sequel albums, like sequel films, are always a riskyproposition, especially when they come after such a broad gulf fromthe first work and in the case of King Diamond you´re looking at a15 year gap after the beloved 1987 original, which stands as one ofthe band´s finest albums. Just look at Operation: Mindcrime II,which came after an even broader span of time (18 years) and failedutterly to capture the magic of the first album. If it works issomething you have to judge yourself but the opening track on thissingle, The Storm, kicks things off into high gear with afast-paced track and the B-side, The Wheelchair, have some killerdrumming and soloing and are just masterfully written.
