There are 14 events available for you to slosh through with abandon, centered in dirt track racing Meccas like Terra Haute in Indiana, Knoxville Raceway in Iowa, and Nebraskas Eagle Raceway.
Tracks range from the typical oval, to D-ovals, tri-ovals, egg-shaped and figure 8s.

Dirt Track Racing 2 also has several features to modify and tweak up that dirt-track clunker and make it a sweet running machine. And with an available 15 cars across the pro-stock, late model, and modified classes, you're not going to be without the horsepower needed to grind your way through to the checkered flag.

Dirt Track Racing 2 offers several options for the experienced racing sim fan as well as less experienced fans of the genre. Even before you get on a track you can pick from several different cars from the games 3 car classes, as well as your cars color and model.

Further menus allow you to tweak the suspension and modify the tire pressure and stagger to get your vehicle moving as fast as possible. There are also upgrade parts available for purchase after you have built up some winnings in the games Career mode.

All the expected elements of a racing sim are present and function as one might expect. Your AI competition is quite capable and will provide a challenge, provided the difficulty settings are high enough to give them the ability to even get the car onto the track.

Features like smoke from blown or blowing engines and weather effects like lightening do add a nice touch to the game.

Your cars can also take some damage that comes across in visible damage textures; especially on the figure 8 track. Dont get carried away looking for this feature though, as taking too much damage will eventually cripple your vehicle and leave you with a hefty damage bill.

It is a simple, straight-forward racing sim that will play on most computers. When taken for what it is, Dirt Track Racing 2 is very competent and will offer budget-minded gamers much fun and challenge.
