The shutter is simply a small hinged leather plate that the photographer swings up and down to begin and end the exposure.

Accepts regular modern style 5x7" inch or 13x18 film holders. Three used 13x18cm holders are included (only two in the photo). Since it is designed to accept sheet film holders there is no need to load the camera in the dark.

Average exposure in bright, noon-day sun is 4 seconds, using 400 ISO film.

Depth of field is of no concern; everything in front of the camera is equally in focus!
