2012 albumfrom the Tacoma-based Progressive Metal band. Working closely withproducer Acle Kahney on the sounds and textures of the album,Moments developed into a dynamic and immense listening experience.The album uniquely combines the ferocity and rawness of modernmetal with delicate and expansive atmospheres. The result is asound that is accessible while maintaining a detailed and complexframework. If you are a fan of bands like Periphery, you owe it toyourself to check out Stealing Axion. It’s not groundbreaking butit has a great mix of heavy/light parts and never feels like ablatant rip-off. This album sounds more like a follow-up album froma seasoned band than a small label debut. The production and mixingare great and all the guitar/vocal effects are well placed andnever over-used. Not that longer songs make better songs butthere’s definitely no shortage of content.
