Sirenia’sdebut album At Sixes And Sevens basically left no room forimprovement. To Sirenia’s credit they have made a few minor changesbut kept the quality extremely high for this, their second release.What you have here is extremely rich Gothic metal with a mix ofgrowl, clean, female and gothic choir vocals. Both of Sirenia’sreleases just reek of class which is not easy to do when youheavily utilize growl vocals. For me the highlight for Sirenia isagain the first track of the album. Lithium And A Lover is adriving number that really convinces with it’s outstanding lyricsand passionate vocal delivery. Sirenia is a one of a kind band andboth of their first releases are mandatory if you have any interestat the entire Gothic metal genre. So, so classy.
