One might betempted to lump Swedish death metal outfit Sarcasm in with the restof the current crop of HM-2 worshipping bands that are so prevalentthese days, but to do so would be a mistake. Even though theydidn´t release their first proper full-length until 2015, theUppsala-based band´s were originally active from 1990-94, releasinghalf a dozen demos around the same time that their peers inEntombed and Dismember were putting Swedeath on the musical map.This first full-length, Burial Dimensions, was actually recordedback in 94 but never released then. Sarcasm´s style is a brutal yetmelodic and will remind you of what Swedish bands such as Dismemberand Entomed did back then but with some female vocals and keyboardparts that were abscent on the previous demos. Tracks like A TouchOf The Burning Red Sunset and Pile Of Bodies are amazing. So doyourself a favour buy this album so the band finally gets theposthumous respect they deserves.
