Symphonic extremeheavy metal band based in Stockholm – founded and led bymulti-instrumentalist and songwriter Zorn. After parting ways withDark Funeral, he was determined to shake up the traditionalMetal-meets-Symphony approach with his new band, Zornheym. Zornheymquickly grew from an ambitious idea into a dramatic musical andnarrative driven concept revolving around the horrors of a mentalinstitution and it’s prisoners. Four years after the gates of theasylum were first imagined, they were finally opened upon therelease of the debut album, Where Hatred Dwells And DarknessReigns. This album introduced the terrifying asylum concept andhorrific characters contained within. Zornheym’s sound has beendescribed as powerful and cinematic and the second album invitesyou to continue that experience in The Zornheim Sleep Experimenthappening deep in the bowels of the asylum. Once again they createtheir wall of sound by using a real choir and a string quartet.
