This beautiful Art Nouveau figurine shows a girl holding a Bible in her hands. It was made in the porcelain manufactory Burgau a. S. Ferdinand Selle and bears the brand name OSTIA. The multi-coloured design is a real eye-catcher and makes the figurine a great decorative element for your home. Made from high-quality ceramic and featuring a lovely motif, this figurine is a real highlight for collectors and lovers of Art Nouveau objects. Unique and nostalgic at the same time, it will certainly give you a lot of pleasure.
The young lady has some damage to her legs.

Design Vienna School of Arts and Crafts 1904, probably originally designed for Jos. Böck, Vienna,
for the English department stores' Liberty's was labelled Ostia.

S. Ferdinand Selle (a. S. stands for an der Saale), the designs, which come from van de Velde and Albin Müller, among others, almost exclusively reflect the contemporary taste of Art Nouveau, on 09.02.1915 Selle dies and his widow Anna Agnes Selle continues the factory, in 1929 the factory is closed.
I could find absolutely nothing about this extremely rare figurine or about the factory.
I would be very grateful if anyone could provide me with more information.
