Original 1986 Mexican pressing

Mexican hardrock act La Cruz was founded in Tijuana in the early80s as a cover band were they were performing covers of bands like:Black Sabbath, Grand Funk Railroad, Led Zeppelin, Wishbone Ash,Humble Pie etc. After a while the band started to compose their ownmaterial influenced by the material they had played in the earlystages of their career. Their debut album, Rock A La Medianoche(Rock At Midnight), was released in 1986. The album features somegood rock tracks, a track that really tries to be commercial and aballad that were aimed for radio play but gained no attention.Overall a mixed album that tried to hard to please everyone, quitecommon back then, when they label were hoping for a hit single andat the same time lost the energy the band showed when they playedlive. Interesting for historical purpose while still offering a fewgood tracks.
