2016 vinyl release on black vinyl

Solefald (the name taken from the Old Norse word for sunset)formed in Norway in 1995. The Linear Scaffold was the debutfull-length album and was originally released in 1997. It was seenas a breakthrough in black metal at the time incorporatingcountless fresh ideas such as jazzy guitar passages and alternativeinstruments such as piano to concoct an atmosphere altogether moreinteresting than many of their peers. Still as fresh soundingtoday, this symphonic black metal album stands out with its dynamictwists and poetic imagery from the words of Cornelius, furtherenhanced with the inclusion of When The Moon Is On The Wave writtenby Lord Byron. Aside from both members work with other bands,including Borknagar and Winds, Cornelius is an accomplishedwriter/poet, with many published writings including a tetralogy ofpoems entitled Quadra Natura.
