Charming handcrafted folk art piece from Japan, originating from the Sanbe Mountain area in Shimane Prefecture. It depicts a just-hatched baby made from a walnut shell, nestled in a nest under a protective bent arch. A hand-painted ladybug sits on top, alongside a sign that reads “Mount Sanbe” in Japanese.
Made almost entirely from natural materials. A warm and whimsical piece perfect for lovers of rustic interiors, Japanese crafts, or rare vintage souvenirs.

Condition: Paint is slightly worn, and the arch has become a bit soft over time. Otherwise in good vintage condition.
