This beautiful book, with 100 glorious colour pictures, is actually a republished book from the 1867 first efition.

A collection of magnificent works of Ornamental Art, which are remarkable not only for the perfection and skill shown in the technical processes, but also for the beauty and harmony of the coloring, and the general perfection of the ornamentation.

They are from the collections of the National Collection at South Kensington, Alfred Morrison, Louis Huth, M. Digby Wyatt and others. Illustrated with several color plates which include painted vases, bowls and other Chinese ornaments which were imported to the West in increasing numbers in the middle of the nineteenth century.

This is a large, excellent book of Chinese designs, beautifully presented and the book itself is very well made.
