Waterman's Ideal Reservoarpenna, 1940-Talet, Kanada. 14k Spets. Art Deco

Vintage 1940s Waterman's Ideal lever-filler fountain pen, manufactured in Canada.

The body is made in a blue and black marbled celluloid with a metallic pearl-like sheen in a streamlined late Art Deco design.

The cap features a single thin silver-toned band and a matching clip stamped vertically with the Waterman's name.
The barrel is imprinted "Waterman's MADE IN CANADA," and the pen is fitted with an exposed 14K gold nib stamped "WATERMAN'S IDEAL 14KT CANADA."

The pen is structurally sound and looks good. There is light rust on the top disc of the metal clip, along with a small crack in the celluloid directly next to the top clip. A small scratch on the cap surface where the clip has shifted slightly. The bottom rim of the cap has a tiny pinpoint chip that looks from the manufacturing process. When the filling lever is raised, it produces a slight sandy sound, indicating dried ink residue.
As you can see in the photos, the pen looks beautiful and is well kept.

One thing worth flagging since this came from Google rather than your own inspection: the "sandy sound when the lever is raised" detail is a mechanical/functional claim, not just cosmetic condition. If Google inferred that from general knowledge about old lever-fillers rather than from your actual photos/handling, you're making a functional claim about a 80+ year old pen you may not have actually verified yourself — that's a bigger liability than a cosmetic miss if a buyer tests it and finds something different. Confirm you actually heard that sound before this goes live.
