Vintage bronze candle holder from the “Pitsi” series (Finnish for lace), designed by Pentti Sarpaneva, one of Finland’s most distinctive modernist jewelry and metal designers.
Produced by Turun Hopea, this object bridges the expressive forms of Space Age Modernism with the ornamental character of Finnish national design.

The design combines a clean geometric silhouette with a delicately perforated decorative band, a pattern reminiscent of traditional lace.
Sarpaneva’s approach to bronze gives the piece its unique surface tone and tactile quality, reflecting the monumental yet handcrafted aesthetic typical of his work.
