Early in 1998 due to an ever-growing interest from adults in the first Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, Bloomsbury decided to reproduce the book with a more adult friendly cover. After all, it wouldn’t do to see stockbrokers commuting into London on the early morning train reading a CHILDS book! And so was born the very first Harry Potter adult cover edition.
