Art Deco Cigarettask i Silver James Deakin & Sons, Chester – Silverskrin

A beautiful sterling silver tobacco and cigarette box by James Deakin & Sons, made in Chester, in a fantastic Art Deco design.
The box has straight geometrical lines on the lid forming a beautiful Deco pattern, with a textured decoration around the edges.

It is marked on the side with the lion for silver, JDWD for James Deakin & Sons, and the Chester City mark. The year letter is unclear, but the style places it between 1920 and 1940.

The interior is lined with wood and includes a removable divider shelf, so it can be used for cigarettes, cigars, and/or tobacco.

Some small scratches and tiny dents. On one corner, the silver is slightly loose from the wood with a small gap of a few millimeters, nothing serious at all. Overall, it looks great and works perfectly.

A beautiful silver box from nearly a century ago with a fantastic Art Deco design.
