Arsenite from Kumla was formed in 2009 and two years later theyreleased their first demo, High Speed Thrashing Maniacs. Theirdebut album Ashes Of The Declined was released in 2013 and a splitalbum with another Swedish thrash act Zodiac Cipher followed beforethey released this second album, Apophis. Apophis shows a band witha fixed course. Its thrash metal in the traditional direction,which has less significant brutality, involved than a lot of todaysthrash bands. On this album Arsenite tries to rely more on a rawappearance and accurate riffs, instead of having a great number ofcrushing speed monsters, created out of sheer massive force.Arsenite is clearly influenced by Metallica, Megadeth, Judas Priestand Motorhead. It has that old school thrash/speed metal feel thatyou get listening to old Anvil and Motorhead records.
