Special circumstances often lead to very special albums. This iscertainly true for Too Mean To Die, which of course alludes to theCorona period, although in a different way than one might assume.The title track is a classic Accept cracker: dynamic andunwavering, turned up to eleven! Zombie Apocalypse, also relentlessand hard, strikes the same note in the band´s signature style. Thefirst single is different. Titled The Undertaker, its a terrificmid-tempo number with great vocals and a built-in character thatchugs along - certain to deliver some memorable live moments!According to Wolf Hoffmann its one of the most catchy, pleasingpieces of the album. Just how varied the Accept guitar trioperforms on the album is proven by one of the secret highlights:The Best Is Yet To Come - a beguiling ballad in which Mark Tornillois at his best. The metal world knows that Mark can scream like noother, but here it shows once again that the frontman can also singmagnificently. So if there´s one thing you can say about Accept isthat they have mastered the formula for creating heavy metal albumswith surgical precision. I don´t know how they do it, but they justkeep getting better and better. I know this just came out, but Ican´t help but wonder what they will do next.
