ABOUT THE MOVIE

Hitler's Daughter is an American television film from 1990, which focuses on three very ambitious middle-aged women in politics in Washington, DC , one of whom is said to be the eponymous daughter of the dead "Führer". The fictional story is based on a sensational novel by Timothy B. Benford . Kay Lenz plays the title role.

PLOT

United States 1945. In pain, a woman gives birth to a child in a remote villa. It is a girl, Hitler's daughter, as it will later turn out. Several men who were present at the birth immediately afterwards shot the mother and the two nurses as unwelcome witnesses. Then they take the newborn and set fire to the mansion, which goes up in flames.

Washington DC 1990. The next US presidential election is coming up, and blonde news anchor Sharon Franklin reports on it as well as on the upcoming reunification of Germany. There is great tension among US politicians, including Vice President Benedict, who would like to become the next US President, and his ambitious wife Patricia. The smart, alert Ted Scott is Benedict's closest advisor and press officer. One day he receives an ominous call from a certain Dr. Baumann, an Auschwitz survivor and tenacious Nazi hunter. He asks him to meet in an underground car park. Baumann tells him about a large-scale conspiracy in the United States that is said to be led by a woman who heads a powerful, secret Nazi organization. She was Hitler's daughter, who wanted to build a "fourth empire" in America. Before Baumann can give Ted a briefcase, the vice president's advisor is knocked down by a fake police officer and Baumann is shot by men who join him.
