This is a 16-bit ISA card but it uses only the 8-bit ISA portion of the slot for sound, the high end 16-bit portion is used only for extra IRQs for CDROM functions.
So, if you want only 8-bit Sound Blaster sound then this will work fine in 8-bit computers like the IBM 5150, 5155 and 5160.
