This disc was filmed in 2011 on their first touraccompanied by a full orchestra. Recorded on the closing night ofthe 2011 year’s Montreux Festival on July 16, this concert featuresDeep Purple playing their classic hits with the accompaniment of afull contemporary orchestra conducted by Stephen ‘BK’Bentley-Klein. The orchestrated arrangements give an added depthand range to the familiar songs and the band, who are clearlyenjoying the experience, deliver one of their finest performances.With a career stretching back into the late sixties and globalalbum sales in excess of 100 million, Deep Purple need nointroduction. They continue to record and perform around the worldon an ongoing basis and remain of the finest hard rock bands on theplanet as this live dvd clearly shows.
