IN BATTLE “s/t”

The ‘97 heathen lesson in violence and speed for the first time on vinyl. This one is harsh. Always appreciated the rough and fairly organic sounding production on this album, making for a great sense of in your face presence (as well as bleeding eardrums). It quickly singles the recording out from, well insert any of those other very fast bm bands around during this period. Quality riffing as well, a tad more old school in places than say Setherial (with whom the band at this time shared two members). And with some of that Old Norse feeling in a couple of melodies - occasionally you may come to think of the first Allegiance album.
The band’s remaining discography would not do much for me (or well, I stopped keeping track) but this album remains cool.
