This antique Wakizashi I bought in a internet auktion site back in 2022. It came blade, habaki and saya only. Blade is in ruff state with someone sanding it in the past, probably to remove rust. I decided anyway to restore the koshirae and add what was missing. I used a recycled antique tsuka that I had, and added new samegawa, gendai fuchi, kashira and menuki. Antique seppa and sukashi tsuba. And to finish it I did tsukamaki I katate-maki style.
This Wakizashi is not pristine in any way, but it still is an antique that now fits very well on display as you can see on the pictures.
