The player is designed for use with MiniDiscs. It contains a Nickel-Metal Hydride battery, model NH-14WM, with a capacity of 1400mAh.
I do not know if it is working as I have no way of testing it, there is also minor damage to the battery latch cover (pics 8 and 9).
