Antique Knabstrup Denmark Large Hand-Painted Wall Plate – 32 cm

Beautiful antique Knabstrup Keramik decorative wall plate, made in Denmark, dating to 1950s.

The reverse retains the original Knabstrup Denmark factory mark and part of the original Knabstrup label, confirming its origin.

Plates 2 & 3 /
Antique Michael Andersen & Søn ceramic plates of 2 different sizes.
Produced in Rønne on the Danish island of Bornholm.

The large dish features a raised stylized depiction of the famous Østerlars Round Church on Bornholm.
The underside is impressed with the distinctive Michael Andersen three-fish factory mark and model number 6227-1.

The smaller dish also has Michael Andersen’s characteristic triangular three-fish mark.

Michael Andersen & Søn was one of Bornholm’s important ceramic manufacturers, established in Rønne in 1890.
The three-fish emblem represents the historic coat of arms of Rønne and has been used as the factory’s mark since approximately 1930.
