Mae Marsh, born Mary Warne Marsh, was an American film actress whose career spanned over five decades from the silent era into the 1960s. Rising to fame under D.W. Griffith, she delivered acclaimed performances in The Birth of a Nation (1915) and Intolerance (1916) and later appeared in John Ford classics like The Grapes of Wrath. Marsh earned the George Eastman Award and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
