When the summer climbing course is canceled, twelve-year-old Kim decides to climb the cliff face that her father climbed the summer he was twelve years old. But it doesn't quite go as Kim had imagined – she falls and later wakes up to a dramatic encounter with a wolf. Scared and helpless, she is trapped in a wolf den with a starving wolf cub. This marks the beginning of a very special friendship, and Kim experiences the adventure of her life that summer. Pursued by furious hunters, Kim is forced to choose sides in an inflamed conflict. Just like in "Free Willy," the film Wolf Summer is an exciting story about a rare friendship between a human and a wild animal. Julia Boracco Braathen makes her film debut in the lead role as Kim, and she delivers a brilliant performance. The other roles feature a host of Scandinavia's foremost actors, including Niklas James Knudsen ("The Day Before Yesterday"), Line Verndal ("The Brigade"), Jørgen Langhelle ("The Thief," "I Am Dina"), and Samuel Fröler ("The Best Intentions"). Wolf Summer is simply a fantastically entertaining and heartwarming adventure you don't want to miss!
