Nuutajärvi Modernist Kierre Vase, Finland 1970s

This is the Kierre (Finnish for Spiral) modernist style vase, produced by Nuutajärvi glassworks in Finland during the 1970s. The vase stands 17.5 cm tall and is crafted in clear pressed glass. Its form is striking: a cylindrical body twisted into a spiral, giving the surface a dynamic, ridged pattern that refracts light and creates sculptural shadows. The base is irregular and organic, with flowing contours that make the piece visually engaging from every angle.

The transparent glass highlights the twisting relief, offering both clarity and depth. Its sculptural geometry makes it equally suitable as a functional flower vase or a decorative object in its own right.

Very good vintage condition. Light surface wear on the underside consistent with age.
