Vintage Bakelite imitating beautiful marble lidded container with a set of stackable coasters inside. The container is cylindrical with a smooth, polished dark brown Bakelite surface.

The lid features an embossed or engraved design, depicting a card suit pattern (clubs, hearts, diamonds, spades).

Inside the container, there are several stackable round coasters, made of Bakelite in different colors (black, green, yellow, maroon). The lid’s inner side appears to have a textured or engraved design.

The coasters are likely designed for serving drinks while protecting surfaces from moisture or heat or they likely were an ashtrays.

Bakelite, an early plastic, was commonly used in the mid-20th century for household items due to its durability and stylish finish. This set was likely used as a coaster holder for home entertainment, possibly for a bar or card table setup.

1940s -- 1950s. Measurments: Diameter is 8 cm, Height is 6 cm. Excellent vintage condition with no visible signs of use.
