1985 Seiko 5 Retro

Vintage Seiko 5 automatic from mid 1980s.

Rare dial Seiko 5 that brings together everything people love about this line: simple reliability with non stop ticking, but this one - has it's own twist - in it's dial design.

Though “rare” is always a big word in the Seiko world, so let’s just say it’s far from the common variants you usually find here or on other auctions.

The watch runs on the proven 7009 automatic movement. It’s been kept in excellent working order (added picture from time grapher) and keeps time far better than most pieces of this age typically do.

Visually, it’s in unusually good condition also. No scratches on crystal, bracelet is very presentable, even the case back has only hair type scratches. But of course, calling anything from 1985 “perfect” is subjective, unless it's new old stock. So expect minor signs of normal wear if you inspect it with a magnifier.

- Adjusted for ±18cm wrist, suitable up to 19,5cm wrists, no extra links.

This watch is from my personal collection being sold only because I need to clear up some space in my watch boxes.
