Beskrivelse
For sale is a very stylish and rare 1960s Omega Seamaster automatic watch with a striking black dial. Mechanically high-quality.
Case Reference: 166.002 (stamped on the inside of the case back).
Case: High-quality 40-micron gold plating (Plaque OR G 40 Microns).
Diameter is 34.5 mm excluding the crown. The gold plating remains thick and clean overall, though there is minor wear through the plating in one specific spot.
Movement: Omega Caliber 552 automatic. This is the highly desirable and premium 24-jewel version, equipped with a rare swan-neck regulator.
Year of Production: 1966 (based on the movement serial number 24,213,508).
Dial: Stunning, matte black gilt dial with gold hour markers and hands.
The inner case back reference 166.002 originally indicates a model with a date window. However, this watch houses a premium, no-date Caliber 552 movement and a matching no-date black dial??
The watch is running well. The crystal and case show scratches consistent with its age. The movement is visually very clean and tidy. The service history is unknown.
