Here is a book on one of the most famous and fantasized nightclubs in England (and the world): The Haçienda in Manchester. Jon Savage takes us back to the place that was the birthplace of Madchester, inaugurated in May 1982 and which closed in 1997 following a death from an overdose. We find in this book many photographs and interviews (in particular of the founder Tony Wilson). The Book perfectly transcribes the very special atmosphere of this place open to all which was a pioneer in the popularization of electro music and the emergence of House music.
