Legend wasa classic 70s proggy metal band that released one album, From TheFjords, an album that is simply one of the greatest hard rock /proto metal albums of all time. That’s an undisputable fact. 45years have passed since its original release in 1979 and RaymondFrigon, the co-founder and drummer of the original band, decided toreactivate the mighty Legend under a new prism, but guitar playerKevin Nugent is sadly no longer with us. Legend was asked to playin Europe Ray contacted Janne Stark about handling the guitar.Unfortunately Janne was busy with Overdrive and Falling Hazard atthe time and had to turn the offer down. Instead his friend MartinJ Andersen (Blindstone, Walter Trout etc) came in on guitar. Thegigs however never happened because of Covid. Ray had become a bornagain Christian and wanted to re-record some of the old materialwith new lyrics as Legend Revisisted, featuring Martin on guitar.The bass spot was free and was then filled by Janne Stark. Thethree of them created another opus in 2023 called From The Lord.Make no mistake, this is not just another run of the mill projectthat aims on cashing in on the cult status of an old band. This isa totally masterful music endeavor of the highest artistic valueplaced upon the original songs. The old fans of Legend will besurprised by Legend Revisisted. An amazing new band was born, aband that has its roots in the glorious 70’s, with a religiouslyrical content that serves as a message for today’s worldproblems.
