It will be noticed that there is only one arch to this Crown, which arch however promotes it from being a Coronet into being a Crown. The arch was introduced by Charles II. This is the Crown of the eldest son of the King. The coronet of the Prince of Wales, as such, is kept at Carnarvon Castle, and is a separate princely emblem.
