? Notes on Compatibility

• The charger may also work on other Surface devices beyond the main list above as long as they use the Microsoft Surface Connect port and accept ~15 V / ~6.3 A input.

Some later Surface models (e.g., certain configurations of Surface Book or Surface Laptop Studio) may officially use a higher-wattage charger (e.g., 127 W model 1932) — but the 1798 often still works at 102 W.

• If your device originally came with a USB-C charger, this model won’t be compatible — USB-C and Surface Connect are completely different connector types.
