La Repubblica is an Italian daily newspaper and L'Espresso is an Italian weekly news magazine. Between November 2008 and February 2009, La Repubblica and L'Espresso ran a reissue series consisting of Bruce Springsteen's first twelve studio albums. The titles were sold with the newspaper or the magazine and were also available for purchase separately at newsstands. The albums, which were each housed in 5.4"x5.4" mini-LP sleeve, were specially pressed for this series and feature unique catalogue numbers with "BSC" prefixes. They originally came sealed with a cardboard display card. The first title in the series, Born In The U.S.A., was sealed on the display card together with a folded exclusive cardboard slipcase to store the complete series.
