2021 Spanish re-issue on black vinyl with gatefold cover andinsert

Barrabas was a Spanish group formed in the early 70s by formerLos Brincos leader Fernando Arbex. The Madrid-based group wasequally influenced by funk and psychedelic rock, and they certainlytook a cue from Santana. Throughout their career, they flirted withjazz-funk and disco; a handful of singles become club favorites inseveral countries. Soltad A Barrabas is the third album released in1974 and the single Hi-Jack reached No. 1 in Spain. The album wasrecorded in Usa and they nearly dropped their previous Latininfluences to concentrate on funk and black music. Herbie Mann madea famous jazz cover of the tune that climbed the charts in Usa. Thealbum also included other ace tracks like Tell Me The Thing – muchin the vein of Chicago and Blood, Sweat & Tears, Suzie Wong,Lady Love.
