By connecting colorful creatures called Nodons, anyone can learn to create their own games. Its all done via fun and educational lessons that cover the basics of visual game programming. No prior programming experience is necessary.

Nodes also have different personalities and are used to build your games from scratch. There are dozens of them in the Game Builder Garage, each with a unique function, and you can learn to build games just by connecting them in many different ways. For example, you can create and move a human-like game character with your game controller if you attach a Stick Nodon to a Person Nodon. This way you get to learn the basics of game programming in a fun and intuitive way. You will also be able to create a wide variety of different types of games. Everything from side-scrolling platformers to racing games and more!

If youre looking for some inspiration, you can also trade and download games made by your friends and family over the internet or through a local wireless connection. This is a great way to not only showcase some of your own created games, but also to check out games created by other players.

The Game Builder Garage can be controlled with a Joy-Con, the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller or the controllers on the Nintendo Switch Lite, but you can also build games by connecting a compatible computer mouse to the USB port on the Nintendo Switch dock.
