Dendrobium loddigesii

D. loddigesii is native to Laos, Vietnam, and China. It's a compact epiphytic orchid that likes a lot of water during the growing season and drier conditions in winter. Ideal temperature range is within 23-30ºC, but it can tolerate hotter weather as long as it gets watered frequently. During the winter cooler temperatures are okay as long as it doesn't drop below 10ºC for long.

NB. The plant is currently not in bloom. Pictures of flowers are from a mature plant, to illustrate what the blooms look like.

Some of my plants have been grown outside during warm season, and as outdoor-grown plants the leaves may sport some nicks, scabs, and show some other minor damage. This is not a cause for complaint. It's normal wear and tear for plants. Overall the plants are in good condition with a healthy root system and actively growing.

When shipping, it is sometimes necessary to remove some of the leaves on larger plants to reduce transpiration and to make them fit into the package. Care will be taken to keep such removal of leaves to a minimum. This is not done to such an extent as to cause irreversible damage to a plant. New leaves will grow in and the plants will recover from such a practice.

Plants will be shipped bare-root. Will use a heat pack during winter months, November-March when necessitated by the weather. Order processing time 1-3 days. Transit will usually take a week or so.

NB! Shipping may be delayed during extreme cold spells (temperatures around -15°C and lower) during the winter period. You will be informed ASAP if your order will experience any such delays.
