Heritage Narrative
Originally released in 1957, Omega’s Speedmaster famously became the first watch worn on the moon, cementing its status as a pioneering chronograph. The modern Speedmaster ‘57 collection pays tribute to that inaugural model, blending classic design cues—straight lugs, a tachymeter bezel, and a clean dial layout—with contemporary Co-Axial mechanics. This particular Speedmaster ‘57, Reference 331.10.42.51.01.002, houses Omega’s in-house automatic Co-Axial Chronometer movement and features a 41.5 mm steel case, date display, and a sapphire caseback showcasing the column-wheel chronograph mechanism. Its steel bracelet, folding clasp, and vintage-inspired aesthetics strike a balance between heritage styling and modern technology.
