Tissot Sideral Automatic

Up for sale is a unique piece of watchmaking history: the Tissot Sideral Automatic. Launched in 1969, the Sideral was the world’s first watch to feature a fiberglass case, marking a bold step into Space Age materials.

Details & Condition:
Movement: Swiss Tissot 784-2 Automatic. Keeping time.
Case: Steel and fiberglass monobloc construction. Diameter approx. 40mm (excluding crown).
Dial: Beautiful silver sunburst dial with raised indices and central sweep seconds.
Strap: Comes on a stylish and comfortable stainless steel mesh (Milanese) bracelet.
Cosmetic Condition: Normal signs of wear and patina consistent with its age. Overall, a very clean vintage look.

Technical Note: The only minor issue is the date alignment; the date wheel does not currently click perfectly into place (may require a minor adjustment or service to be 100%). However, the watch is fully wearable and keeps accurate time.
