After making short work of Killer Shrike, Peter Parker bumps into an old friend, Betty Brant, on the streets of Manhattan. And wow, Betty sure has changed! Dressing more provocatively and carrying a gun! When Peter sits down for lunch with his long-time friend, he discovers that she's on a special assignment for the Bugle…to investigate the Foreigner! However, before Betty can explain everything, the Foreigner's suicide squad attacks! Two new villains, Pulse and Whisper, try to silence Ms. Brant permanently! But are the new bad guys ready for the old good guy (aka the web-slinger)?
