For sale is an extremely rare receiver by Sansui, model G-701 – the European version of the legendary G-7000.

I purchased it from the original owner for my personal collection.
The unit is in exceptionally good condition, which is very hard to find for this model.

The front panel shows only a small, barely visible line at the top. The vinyl cabinet has two very minor cosmetic flaws – both located at the rear edge of the top panel and barely noticeable during regular use.

All switches and knobs are firm and precise – no looseness or wear detectable, the mechanics feel like new.

The interior is completely original, including the factory lighting – no modifications or alterations have been made. When used with speakers of around 90 dB sensitivity, a faint low-level hum can be heard when placing the ear directly against the speaker. Considering its 50-year age and untouched original condition, a preventive service would certainly be advisable.

In terms of sound, the G-701 delivers the signature character of Sansui’s G-series: remarkable detail and impressive power.
