One of Holland´s first and finest death metal bands, Asphyx wasformed in 1987 by then-Pestilence mainman Martin Van Drunen(vocals/bass), with Eric Daniels (guitar) and Bob Bagchus (drums).After a handful of demos to close out the ´90s, Asphyx signed withCentury Media Records and proceeded to release a steady flow ofalbums and EPs, including 1990´s Mutilating Process EP, 1991´s TheRack, 1992´s Crush the Cenotaph EP, and 1993´s Last One on Earth.Now finally comes all those classic demos that lead to a deal withCentury media as a delux vinyl box set with 3 lps, a 20 pagebooklet with lyrics, artwork by Ketola (Watain, Kaamos),introduction by Metalion (Slayer magazine), liner notes by theband, old flyer designs, a previously unreleased track, `Priest OfMendes´.
